The famous kiwi birds may be viewed in a few reserves and zoos, most notably in Auckland, Rotorua, and Wellington. There are several geothermal parks like Wai-O-Tapu, Hell's Gate, and Waimangu Volcanic Valley where you can see a geyser and thermal pools. You can take a dip in a geothermal poo, at Polynesian Spa, Hanmer Springs, or Waikite Valley pools.
